"15 years...it's hard to summarize them."

The organizers of the Heineken International Benicàssim Festival seem to be in agreement over which acts have been their favorites over the years. Among them are The Chemical Brothers, Lou Reed, Bjork and Brian Wilson seem to top the short list.

The festival has been a fixture of the Spanish rock world since its first appearance in 1994, when it began as a way to showcase alternatives to the dying Madrilenian Groove scene of the 1980s. "15 años de Festival," a film featuring interviews with organizers and insiders recounting their favorite moments, takes viewers through the festival's history from Dinosaur Jr. and The Stone Roses to Radiohead and Lou Reed. This year's festival will take the 16th through the 19th of July, featuring headliners Oasis, Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. Four-day passes are sold out; single-day tickets for all days except Saturday are still available for 70 €.

El festival ha sido una institución importante del mundo rock español de desde su primera apariencia en 1994, cuando empezó como una manera de presentar alternativas a la escena agonizante de la Madrilenian Groove de los años ochenta. “15 años de Festival," una película que representa entrevistas con organizadores y personas enteradas que recuerda sus momentos predilectos, toman a espectadores por la historia del festival del Dinosaur Jr. y The Stone Roses a Radiohead y Lou Reed. El festival de este año tomará el 16 por el 19 de julio, con headliners Oasis, Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand y The Killers. Las entradas de cuatro días son agotados; billetes de un día por todos días menos el sábado están todavía disponible para 70 €.
