It's tough being a rock star. You write a million-selling, award-winning song that audiences worldwide know and love, and all these other artists want in claiming you ripped them off. Poor guys just can't catch a break, can they?

This past week, Yusuf Islam (apparently he used to be some sort of songwriter who made merry across the country under the name "Cat Stevens") announced that he would be pondering litigation against Martin and co., claiming "Viva La Vida" sounds like his 20-minute piano epic, "Foreigner Suite."

And Yusuf isn't the first to fire at the band over "Vida." In December, guitar hero Joe Satriani claimed the song plagiarized his track "If I Could Fly" and demanded royalties. The case was thrown out, with judges calling it "unoriginal."

And other bands have attacked the song without threat of a lawsuit. In June, New York indie group Creaky Boards claimed the song was ripped from one of their tracks, ironically titled, "The Songs I Didn't Write."
